I chose Hai Jun Hotel Guangzhou - Bei Jing Road Pedestrian Streetwhen I came to Guangzhou this time. Originally, I only booked for the river view and convenient location. After staying, I realized that what really makes me want to turn back is the service temperature hidden in every detail.
I checked in after 11pm and just arrived at the hotel door with two large suitcases. The on duty security guard immediately came up to help pick up my luggage and took the throat lozenge I had just bought from the pharmacy. He smiled and asked if my throat was uncomfortable just after getting off the train. He then turned around and handed a sentence to the front desk. When I walked to the front desk, the staff had already poured a cup of warm honey water in advance, saying that I was a bit tired from my condition and that I should moisten my throat first before handling the procedures, instantly relieving the exhaustion of traveling for most of the day.
When I checked in, I casually mentioned that I had to get up early the next day and go to the the Pearl River to take a picture of the sunrise. The little morning at the front desk immediately remembered that it not only helped me to arrange an unobstructed Jiangjing room on the high floor, but also specifically reminded me of the time of sunrise the next day, saying that if you need to prepare hot water and portable breakfast in advance, you can call the front desk at any time. Not long after I entered the room, the room attendant knocked on the door and brought a small plate of throat moistening fat sea and local dried tangerine peel. She said that the front desk had informed me that my throat was uncomfortable, and that soaking in these would make it much more comfortable. It was completely unexpected and thoughtful.
The next day when I came back from photographing the sunrise, I just walked to the elevator and met Manager Zhang on duty. He recognized that I was a guest who checked in late last night, and asked me if the sunrise was going well. He also talked to me about the shooting locations of a few small people near the the Pearl River, and even took out a list written by himself. He marked all the humanistic punch points in the old city that did not need tickets. He even clearly wrote which morning tea shop nearby was frequented by local people without queuing up. I had a meeting with a client that afternoon and suddenly remembered that my suit hadn't been ironed yet. I called the front desk and within ten minutes, the staff came to pick it up. When it was returned half an hour later, the clothes were already ironed neatly and thoughtfully wrapped in dust bags.
On the third day of my stay, I had a slight gastrointestinal discomfort. I casually mentioned to the aunt who cleaned the room that before long, the front desk sent me warm porridge and a small plate of pickles, along with a small packet of gastrointestinal medicine, which was always available in the hotel, so I didn't have to go out to buy medicine. When I checked out, the staff knew that I was going to Tianzi Wharf to take the evening boat for the the Pearl River Night Tour. They specially helped me to deposit my luggage in the lobby. They also arranged for the staff to send me to the entrance of the wharf on the way, fearing that I would take the wrong channel to board the ship.
I have stayed in many hotels along Yanjiang Road, many of which only offer polite greetings. However, the service provided by Hai Jun Hotel Guangzhou - Bei Jing Road Pedestrian Street is different. It does not excessively disturb your personal space, but always delivers appropriate care to you when you need it the most. This kind of attention hidden in details is more unforgettable than the best river scenery.Show more
This time I came to Guangzhou for a business trip and specifically chose Hai Jun Hotel Guangzhou - Bei Jing Road Pedestrian Street. I walked over 500 meters from Tuan Yi Da Plaza subway station and didn't have to take a detour with my suitcase. After 6 pm, I pushed open the hotel door and the front desk staff smiled and handed me a refreshing welcome tea. The heat and excitement of rushing all the way disappeared in an instant.
I ordered a deluxe room with river view. When I opened the door, I was caught by the view of french window. The wind of the Pearl River blew in along the half open window, bringing the unique moist smell of the riverside. The 35 square meter space in the room is not cramped at all, with a spacious office desk and USB ports distributed on the side and bedside. After finishing work, you can easily charge your phone. The sound insulation glass effect far exceeds expectations, and you can't hear the sound of traffic along the river road at all after closing the window. Even staying up late for business trips and changing plans can be done with peace of mind.
The location of the hotel has fully stepped on the demand of my trip. I can walk ten minutes to the Tianzi Dock, which is the "first dock in Guangzhou" with a history of more than 200 years. Lin Zexu used to land here. In the evening, I walked slowly along the riverside trail, just catching up with the the Pearl River night tour at 19:30. Standing on the open-air deck, I watched the setting sun dye the river orange. When the lights on both sides came on again, the night scenery of the Guangzhou Tower, Haixin Bridge and Liede Bridge spread all the way. After getting off the ship, I walked several hundred meters back to the hotel without taking a taxi.
The atmosphere of life around is even more amazing. You can walk ten minutes into the Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. You can meet one of the authentic Cantonese snacks, such as Shuangpi Milk, Braised Pork Intestines and Wonton noodles. It is also convenient to visit cultural attractions. Sacred Heart Cathedral and the Memorial Hall of Sun Yat sen's Marshal's Mansion are within two kilometers. You can reach them by walking. The hotel comes with a free parking lot, so friends who come by car don't have to worry about finding a parking spot on Yanjiang Road. The breakfast the next day also has some caution. The freshly steamed sausage and beef brisket noodles are Cantonese flavors that are freshly ordered and made. It's rare to find such authentic products for 38 yuan on Yanjiang Road.
When I checked out after staying for two nights, the front desk staff even handed me a handwritten list of local delicacies, indicating several old tea houses that locals often go to. The location and temperature of Hai Jun Hotel Guangzhou - Bei Jing Road Pedestrian Street are enough to make people want to come again next time for those who want to give consideration to the Pearl River night tour, shopping in the old city and business trip in Guangzhou.Show more
